“We recently spent a month in the home of Eileen & Mike in Athlone, Ireland and what a grand time we had. We had no sooner arrived when their neighbor, Nuala, came over to welcome us and brought us a basket of goodies. "This is to get you started" she said in her fine lilting voice. The home was beautiful & spotless & the view from the living room window made you want to sit all day and admire it! But Irish music, almost every night in the nearby towns beckoned us as did many historic sites near by. We always say, "Ireland is magical" and Athlone was no exception!”
