About our home

Our home is spacious, stylish and filled with light. Accommodation includes 3 bedrooms, 2 kingsize and 1 double, 3 bathrooms including 1 jacuzzi style bath, 4 toilets. The kitchen is bright and well equipped including espresso coffee machine. There is a large, comfortable lounge to the front and spacious living room with woodburning stove and open fires. Central heating throughout. Outside, there are a couple of patio areas for sitting and dining and taking in the view with BBQ and wood burning cheminee.

More about us

We are a couple of 60 somethings who are starting to take life easy and have recently joined home exchange. We love to travel and see this as a great way to experience a county's culture firsthand. We love cycling and have 2 decent roadbikes and we love our lake boat that is moored in a marina nearby. We would like to get to know our exchange partners by email/phone before arranging an exchange.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We love living here because of the beautiful countryside that surrounds us and the large garden and outdoor seated/dining areas that allows us to enjoy fabulous sunsets with a glass of wine! We are overlooking a lake that is known to almost disappear (a geological phenomenon) and is a wonderful bird sanctuary.
Within a short drive are two large urban areas with fine restaurants, shopping and little cafes. The river Shannon and beautiful Lough Ree are nearby for fishing and boating and it is a great location for hiking and cycling. We also have lovely friendly neighbours.
