About our home

This home has views of Clare Island, Achill Island, mountain views and the night lights of Louisburgh town. We've some of the most stunning beaches within a few minutes drive. The village of Louisburgh is only 12 minutes walk. The house boasts impressive interiors ensuring you are comfortable. The kitchen is new and has a large island for preparing meals and entertaining while admiring the views. The perfect spot to relax and have fun!


More about us

  1. Retired couple who love life! We have 4 grown up children and 7 grandchildren. We love to see other countries and ways of life. We enjoy counting down to our next trip away :)

  2. Maureen loves checking out new destinations and likes to include some retail therapy while she is away! Joseph loves taking long walks admiring architecture around the world. They both love trying out different restaurant and enjoying a glass of wine.

  3. 'When we are at home our favourite thing to do is watch the sunset over Clare Island from our house.

Where is it?


Louisburgh can be approached from Westport or from Leenane. The former approach passes along Clew Bay on one side and Croagh Patrick on the other, while the latter passes through lake and mountain scenery past Doo Lough and Delphi Lodge.

Louisburgh is built on the Bunowen River, part of which is a salmon fishery. Nearby Roonagh Pier, approx 6 km from the town, is the departure point for ferries to Clare Island and Inishturk. There are a number of stunning beaches in the area renowned for their cleanliness.

Westport town is a 20 minute drive. This town is always lively with great cafes, restaurants, bars and tourist shops.
