Eighteenth century cottage in rural East Cork with breathtaking sea views

Lovingly renovated and extended, this is a beautiful old cottage, with plenty of space, and places to hide! People get lost in our house because of its twists and turns and three staircases, as well as its creative response to cherishing the old part of the house whilst making places to see the stunning views of the sea and surrounding countryside. The old part of the cottage has an 8 ft fireplace and large wood burning stove, the guest bedroom (originally the sleeping loft) & dining room, also with a wood burning stove and piano, plus large dining table, which can seat 8. There is a large kitchen overlooking the sea, with oil-fired stove, and over-kitchen mezzanine. The main bedroom has its own bathroom, and leads into the sunset room, which has its own large deck overlooking the sea. This room also has a double futon which folds into a sofa. There are two other bedrooms on the ground floor, one has a single bed with another that pulls out and pops up, the other has a single bed. We have a large garden, two decks and a patio all with wide views of the sea, Ballycotton Island and its lighthouse.
