Where is it?
Our home is 6 minutes drive from Dungarvan town and a few minutes walk from the small village of Coolnasmear. The village hall is a centre for Irish traditional music sessions and a short cycle away are the beautiful Colligan Woods with trails, picnic areas beside the river, paddling areas and an array of wildlife. Our local pub is a ten minute cycle/ short drive away.
Our neighbours are our friends and are very happy to drop by and help you with any questions you may have. I can have free range organic eggs dropped off to you while you are visiting !
Dungarvan is a beautiful coastal town and is the second largest town in County Waterford. About 10, 000 people live in Dungarvan where there are many beautiful restaurants, shopping, harbour area, ancient castle museum and a host of wonderful places to visit.

The Deise Greenway is a 40kilometre track from Dungarvan to Waterford which affords amazing views of the coastline, aqueducts, tunnels,bridges(deisegreenway.com). This is a really safe cycle or walking trail for the whole family to enjoy.
Within 15 minutes drive of Dungarvan are the season ardmore with Saint Declans round tower and Helvic where you can buy fresh fish and shellfish off the fishermen when they return with their catch. Relax in a seaweed bath at Solas na Mara spa in the Gaeltacht(irish language area) close to Helvic.
Within an hours drive is Waterford City, the oldest city in Ireland with the Viking Triangle and Waterford Crystal Showroom there. Drive home the coast road to take in the Copper Coast and Geopark and some spectacular scenery. Kilkenny with its huge medieval castle is just an hour also and take in Castlecomer caves and craft village of Leighlinbridge.
