“Nous remercions Emma et Tomas pour cet échange réussi. Nous avons adoré la ville de Galway, son animation, ses pubs, sa musique ... Leur maison est très chaleureuse et sa localisation permet de rayonner dans le Clare, le Connemara, comtés aux paysages magnifiques. C\'est avec un peu de nostalgie que nous avons quitté l\'Irlande.... Gaëlle et Pascal”

About our home
Ours is a lovely family home in the seaside village of Barna, which is just 5 minutes drive from the vibrant city of Galway, on Ireland's west coast, and centrally located on the 'Wild Atlantic Way'. Connemara and County Clare can be reached in a day trip. We have a bright spacious kitchen and living/dining room, and 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. We have wifi, central heating, tv/cable and all modern amenities. Shannon, Knock and Dublin airports are all within striking distance. Barna is a lovely fishing village just outside Galway city. Coffee shops, a local pub with traditional music sessions, a fantastic local supermarket and all necessary amenities. Barna pier is a beautiful walk, and pop in to 'O Grady's on the Pier' for some lovely local seafood, or Donnelly's pub or the Twelve hotel restaurant for great food also. We have several lovely beaches on our doorstep. Diamond Hill, Connemara National Park, Clifden, the Burren, Bunratty Castle, Kinvara and Dunguaire Castle are some of our favourite places to visit.

As a host (1)More about us
-
Our names are Tomás and Emma, and our two children (13 and 11) Tomás works in regional development, and Emma is a family doctor in practice in Galway city. We made our first home exchange in summer 2018 ( for Brittany Northern France) , and really enjoyed the experience. We would love to travel to the East coast of the United States next summer, ideally between 26th June and 12th July.
