This is a lovely, modern family home in the heart of Barna village. The ground floor comprises of a sitting room, dining room, fully equipped kitchenette and WC. The first floor has a large children's bedroom and is fully stocked with children's toys, puzzles, games, paints, crayons and children's books. The second bedroom comprises of one single bed. The third bedroom has a double bed. The main bathroom is also on the first floor, it has a jacuzzi bath and shower. The master bedroom is located on the second floor. It has a spacious en suite and and a walk in wardrobe. There is a 10 foot trampoline in the back garden, as well as a sandbox and small playhouse. There is a gas barbecue and a garden set of table and chairs for outdoor dining. There are bikes and surfboards for the outdoor enthusiasts! We have two cars, a 7 seater Renault Grand Scenic and a Ford Mondeo.
My husband, Robin and I are both primary school teachers. We have two boys and a girl, 9, 6 and 4. We are on summer holidays for July and August and look forward to spending time somewhere away from home!
Barna is a quaint seaside village which offers a great blend of tranquility and activity. Local amenities include Barna Woods, Barna pier and beach, tennis and basketball courts, pitch & putt and wind sailing and horse riding at Silver Strand.
The house is a minutes walk from fantastic restaurants such as O Grady's Seafood restaurant, Mulberry's Family Restaurant of the year and the Pins Hotel. The village has been described as 'a delight for foodies'. www.sundayworld.com/lifestyle/index.php?aid=11228

Barna is ideal as a base for touring Connemara, taking a trip out to the Aran Islands www.aranislands.galway-ireland.ie/ , visiting the infamous Cliffs of Moher www.cliffsofmoher.ie/ or experiencing the awe of the Burren in Co Clare www.burrennationalpark.ie/. Barna is two and a half hours from Dublin City Centre.

For families with small children Galway has loads to offer such as the Aquarium which runs summer camps for children, cinemas, play centres, pet farms and sports centres and swimming pools. Our children especially enjoy exploring Barna woods or making sandcastles down at the beach.
