About our home

Looking for Florida (or somewhere warm) in Dec 18 / Jan 19 over the Christmas period ! Open to points swap from now to Mid June and from Mid Sept onward.

Our home is located in Dooks and is just steps from one of the most beautiful beaches that you will ever see. The house is minutes from the famous Dooks golf links which is a must for any golfer. A family friendly and comfortable home that is ideal to relax, take in the local attractions and enjoy the stunning scenery in the area. The house was built in the late 80's and modernised in 2012.

Large open plan kitchen, dining and living area.
Sun room at front of the house
Master bedroom with ensuite
Bedroom 2 - double bed with vanity unit
Bedroom 3 - 2 single beds
Bedroom 4 - Triple sleeper bunk bed (double on the bottom and single on the top)

The house sits on one of the most scenic parts of the Wild Atlantic Way and is ideally suited to explore all that southern Ireland has to offer. If you like to golf then this is a great place to base yourself. Dooks golf Club (2mins), Killarney (30 minutes), Tralee (45 minutes), Waterville (50 minutes), Ballybunion (1 hour).

For those of you who like to sight see our home is located on the famous Ring of Kerry. Killarney National Park is is must see and is just a short 30 minute drive. Head south on the ring of Kerry and visit Unesco World Heritage site, The Skellig Rock or visit the beautiful seaside towns such as Derrynane, Sneem and Kenmare.

Hillwalkers and climbers are well catered for with the Kerry Way. You could tackle Ireland's highest peak (Carrantouhill) or for those of you who would prefer a long walk on a beach Rossbeigh beach is just 5 minutes away. See image in photo section. It is also possible to go pony trecking at Rossbeigh Beach.

The house is equipped with the following.
2 adult bikes, 1 childs bike (5yrs old)
Paddle boards
5M rib (must have a boating license to use)
Water Skis
Spare set of golf clubs
Weber charcoal BBQ
Weber Gas BBQ
Plenty of fire logs for chilly nights
Kids high chair
Travel Cot (2)
Fishing gear
Back pack to carry kids on hikes (1)

For now we are interested in building up some points as we have some points trips arranged over the coming months. We are looking for a house with a pool in Europe (Spain / France / Portugal / Italy) for Summer 2018, preferably by the sea and with local culture.

This is a second home so swaps do not need to be simultaneous. The months of June, July and August can be tricky as family like to use the house from time to time but other than that there is lots of availability.
