Beautiful Irish Country House

Albertine Lodge was once a working farmhouse. It has been lovingly restored and extended to create a large and spacious family home in the heart of the Irish countryside but is only a 5 minute drive from the lively riverside town of Carrick on Shannon. It is a great central base for touring much of Ireland as it is only 2 hours drive Dublin in the east, Belfast in the North and Galway in the West. The beautiful Wild Atlantic Way coastlines of Counties Donegal and Sligo can be reached in under and hour.
The house is a five minute walk from Albert Lock where the River Shannon and canal meet. Carrick on Shannon has several award winning restaurants, coffee shops and bars along with boutique shops and lots of outdoor activities including water sports, horse riding, cycling and golf to name but a few nearby.
The house has been let for holiday rentals on Airbnb for the past year and has achieved Superhost status from the website, This status is awarded based on the reviews and star ratings from guests who rate cleanliness, location, accuracy, value, arrival and overall experience. It is perfect for families and we can provide travel cots, changing station, high chairs and baby baths if required. There is still some availability for a Home Swap over the summer period and we are holding from 22nd to 31st August for Home Swap as we are particularly looking to travel with our children during that period. We are happy to accept points but we can provide our 5 seater car for a straight swap.
