About our home

This is a traditional Irish Cottage overlooking Bellharbour Bay and in the heart of the Burren countryside. We have an open plan sitting/dining room and good working kitchen. Enjoy the open fire. Full bathroom with bath and shower and bedroom downstairs. Upstairs are two large bedrooms and WC. A wonderful place for walkers, nature lovers and for getting away from it all. It is short drive to numerous beaches and we are surrounded by the unique landscape and history of the Burren. This has been our holiday home for over 10 years and we have enjoyed it with friends and family in all seasons.

We overlook Bellharbour bay and the mountains beyond. There are fantastic views all around the house and general area. There is a traditional Irish Pub/shop only 3 minutes walk away. It is 10k from the nearest town which is Ballyvaughan which is a traditional village with a range of amenities including restaurants and seafood bars. Ideal touring base as we are within 1 hour of Cliffs of Moher, Galway City and Connemara. It is ideal for walkers, and those with an interest in nature history and archaeology.Would also be a suitable location for painters and is in close proximity to the Burren College of Art. A wonderful location for both the mature adult market and for those with families.

We Peter and Paula MacNulty have three children, aged 14 ,12 and 6. We live and work in Dublin. Peter is a tourism consultant and Paula is a solicitor. We enjoy the outdoors, including long walks, and swimming, and visiting places of historic interest and good food. We have been going to the Burren each season for over 10 years with our extended family and friends. We also love to travel abroad. We speak a little French. We know the Burren area very well and we have built up a lot of close community links there.
