About our home

Our home is located in a quiet residential development, within easy walking distance of the chic towns of Blackrock, Monkstown and Stillorgan. Accommodation comprises four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, and utility room. There is a lovely private sunny garden to the back and parking to the front. Carysfort Park is ideally situated near shops and restaurants and the local amenities include an extensive public park with children’s playground. The DART is accessed from Blackrock village and there are many buses to city centre and elsewhere.

Buzzy restaurants
There are lots of restaurants, offering many different cuisines, located in Blackrock and neighbouring Stillorgan, Monkstown, Dun Laoghaire, Sandycove and Dalkey.
Cool bars
The Dark Horse (5 min walk from our house) is a great chilled out pub with a wonderful selection of craft beers. If you prefer something a little more lively then check out the Wicked Wolf or the Three Tun Tavern in Blackrock Village.
Cozy cafés
The Mellow Fig, Wooden Spoon, House of Tea, Lazy Days, Café du Journal are just a few of the excellent cafés awaiting you in Blackrock village.
Retail therapy
Dundrum Town Centre (Europe's largest shopping centre) is a ten minute drive or can be accessed by public transport. There are many chic boutiques in the vicinity, as well as a local department store.
Bit of culture
Dublin city centre is just twenty minutes by bus or train. Check out www.visitdublin.com for ideas of what to see and do during your stay.
Walks in the park
Our house is situated beside a beautifully landscaped park which includes a children's playground. A larger park lies adjacent to Blackrock Village. Enjoy a leisurely walk whilst taking in the spectacular views of Dublin Bay and beyond.
Spot of exercise
Walking, swimming, tennis, cycling, sailing, windsurfing, and bowling are all available in the vicinity.
Day tripping
Co Wicklow (referred to as the "Garden of Ireland") is 30 minutes drive from Blackrock. The historical site of Glendalough and the magnificent Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall are just two of the many places to explore. There are also many picturesque seaside towns dotted along the east coast, all accessible by train.
