About our home
Our home is located 4 miles south of Dublin city centre. We bought our house in 2006 and lovingly restored it, converting it into a beautiful family home. The heart of the house is a big old style kitchen on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor is a sitting/TV room,a playroom, WC and utility room. There is a good size back garden with a trampoline. The first floor has a family bathroom which includes a bath and a shower, master bedroom with ensuite shower & wc, a second bedroom with bunk beds and a third bedroom with a single bed. The attic has been converted into a fourth bedroom with a double bed..

As a host (1)More about us
-
We are a family of 5 with 3 children, Ciara 19, Grace 16 and Matthew 13 and we have been living in Dublin for 20 years. This is our fourth time to do house exchange and we simply want to find a house in the sun with a swimming pool for our exchange. We are big into traditional Irish music and I set up and run one of the biggest online sites for musicians http://tradconnect.com/profile/TonyLawless where you can find out some more about me.

Neighbourhood
The house is located in Mount Merrion a quiet residential area 4 miles south of Dublin city centre. The area is well serviced with public transport to take you into the city or to Ireland's largest shopping centre Dundrum Town Centre http://www.dundrum.ie/ . A smaller shopping centre, Stillorgan Village http://stillorganvillage.com/ is within walking distance and the beautiful Deer Park is on our doorstep for those who like an early morning jog. To escape the city or head south to the many attractions the M50 motorway is close by. We are also a 10 min walk from the LUAS which is Dublin's tram network that takes you to St Stephens Green in the heart of the city in 15 minutes. Dublin airport is also only 20 km away.
A short drive south you can visit Avoca Handweavers http://www.avoca.ie/home/explore/stores/?id=3, Glendalough http://www.glendalough.ie/ and Powerscourt House http://www.powerscourt.ie/ passing through Co. Wicklow which is known as the Garden of Ireland.
