About our home

My house is a Neo Georgian detached 2 storey. It is comfortable, spotlessly clean and spacious. The accommodation includes an entrance hall, well equipped contemporary kitchen, sitting room (open fireplace), dining room, living room and study with broadband internet facility and flat screen cable t.v.. There is also a utility room and guest w.c.on the ground floor. There are 4 double bedrooms on the first floor with one ensuite and a family bathroom with bath and shower. There are front and back gardens with off street parking. The back garden is south facing and includes a patio and barbeque. We have a 24 hour monitored security system. Because of the southerly aspect the house is bright and airy and a pleasure to live in.

More about us

  1. I am a retired senior civil servant and a former occasional lecturer in the Department of Social Studies in UCD. I have two adult children, one living I'm Toronto and one I'm London. I previously completed 4 exchanges with my late wife which we really enjoyed. I am now looking forward to some more exchanges in the future.
    I love travelling, visiting museums, art galleries and places of historic interest. I enjoy hill walking, music,theatre and literature. I am very respectful of my own property and would keep yours as my own.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Situated in a quiet well established area withing walking distance of the picturesque sea front village of Blackrock with its restaurants, pubs and shopping. I am approx. 6k from the centre of Dublin with excellent bus and train connections. I am also within easy reach of Co Wicklow which is regarded as the "garden of Ireland" with its historic monastic sites, beaches, mountains and villages. The beautiful sea port of Dun Laoghaire with its famous James Joyce Tower is 6 minutes away on the train from Blackrock. There are a number of large parks within walking distance of the house.
