About our home
Our country home was built in 2007 and features include full height ceilings, inner stone walls and a cathedral chimney. Country setting, 10km from Killarney town Centre. Panoramic view of the Macgillycuddy Reeks and the lakes of Killarney.
Farranfore airport is 20 mins from our home. Taxi costs €20 one way to Killarney. No public bus transport available.
Things to do in the area-
Ring of Kerry drive-Day trip. Beautiful scenery with stops on the way. Skellig islands, Fort in Caherciveen, Torc Waterfall. Muckross House and Gardens(with traditional farm).
Ross Castle in town (walkable via the lake from the Cathedral).
The Gap of Dunloe. V-shaped valley with beautiful scenery. Strickeen Mountain is the first peak on the Gap road and is an easy uphill track for kids and adults. 2 hours.
Torc Mountain is another child friendly hill. 2hrs 30 mins.
Buddies is an indoor play area 15mins from Buddaghauns in Killarney.
The Coral Leisure Centre is the closest public swim pool -15mins drive.
Tralee town is 30 mins from Buddaghauns and hosts the Aquadome, indoor pool with crazy golf. The Tralee Bay Wetlands has a cafe and pedal boats. Bowling buddies.
Dingle is an hour away with Boat trips, and Dingle Oceanworld.
