Our luxurious home is our retreat from busy professional lives and as such is a rural idyll where the focus is on relaxation. Everything is finished to a very high standard, with an emphasis on comfort in every room. It is split level with a fabulous view of the Burren and the Connemara from our raised deck. The decor is contemporary with a little bit of Art Deco thrown into the mix.
Our house is certainly child friendly with an outdoor play area, a movie room(with Netflix, Disney, YouTube and Prime) and a games room(Pool, Darts, Foosball and PS4).
My husband is a great gardener and it shows in our beautiful garden, with a large variety of different flower beds, and a raised vegetable garden(feel free to pick as you go!)
We have a large patio area, with a BBQ and firepit and a deck with a dining table , electric gates and underfloor geothermal heating .
We are 30 mins from Shannon Airport, 1 hour from Knock Airport, and less than 2 hours from Dublin Airport.
On our doorstep is the amazing Wild Atlantic Way with stunning scenery and beaches, and the Burren, as well as the unique cities of Galway and Limerick, not to mention all the historic attractions that the West of Ireland has to offer.

“We spent a week in Lorraine and John's home. The house is comfortable, veeeerrryyy spacious and thanks to the enormous windows you get great views on the beautiful surroundings. We saw lots of birds, cows and even a fox. We enjoyed cooking in the large open kitchen and long talks in the snug living room. John's "man cave" downstairs and the smart TV offered some great entertainment too! There are some intersting touristic sites in the vicinity: Bunratty castle, the cliffs of Moher, Galway,... all explained in Lorraine's detailed guide of the house. The house is great for kids as well: our little boy kept finding new toys and books to read! Never a dull moment :-). Thanks for a lovely swap! ”
