About our home

We have a clean, modern and comfortable house that is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding towns and country side.
The large kitchen with island is the heart of the house, with a space off for reading or listening to music with a view on the patio and garden.
The dining room just of the kitchen seats 8 comfortably and leads to the sitting room with TV/DVD/VCR and stacks of good books in the shelves and two couches (one pull-out double).
Upstairs has 4 bedrooms (one set up as an office with high speed wireless Internet and PC).
Large bathroom with whirlpool bath. Master bedroom with ensuite and power-shower. Bright and airy. Wooden floors downstairs, carpet upstairs except for bathrooms.

More about us

  1. Brendan is a 38-year-old software engineer, but is otherwise perfectly normal. Letizia is from Sardinia and as well as being graduate of Law is also a budding author. Nina, 8, was born in Stuttgart, Germany and partly brought up in Antwerp, Belgium before we moved back to Ireland. She's sporty and smart and likes reading a lot. Sara was born and bred in Cork, and loves to act and sing. Aaaaaall the time (help!) We spend most of our time in Cork, but normally spend the Summer in Cagliari, Sardinia. We have very successfully home swapped once, with some great Kiwis from Christchurch.

Where is it?

Our house is part of a quiet family-oriented neighbourhood with young kids out playing in the common space all the time. Carrigaline is a busy suburb of Cork (Ireland's second city) with it's own old town centre including all shopping needs as well as weekly markets.
Crosshaven, home of the oldest yacht club in the work (RCYC) and location of the famous Cork Week, is an easy 8km away. The house is available to you during that period!.
Cork has a long and interesting history and has benefited from more than a decade of revitalization without losing its soul. Lots of great pubs and restaurants, and it's unique English market to discover.
The surrounding county - especially West Cork and Kerry - is famously beautiful and totally accessible for day and weekend trips.
