About our home

My modern home is quirky, 5 minutes drive or 15 minute cycle to a beautiful sandy beach. The immediate area has countless sandy beaches, coves, cliff walks, the famous Waterford Greenway, countless historical attractions, many rural or coastal quaint villages & towns, the Comeragh mountains with it's walks, climbs, waterfalls & Corries. It’s a 20 minute drive to Ireland’s oldest city Waterford 1st put on the map by the Vikings.

Neighbourhood

I'm 5' drive from a sandy beach in Bonmahon Co. Waterford & the secluded Trá na mBó. There are numerous beautiful beaches and coves along the Copper Coast from Tramore to Dungarvan all within 30 minutes drive.
The Comeragh mountains are 10-15' in the other direction. The Mahon Falls & Mahon river which meets the sea in Bonmahon near the Copper Coast Eco centre can be seen here.
The Waterford Greenaway a former railway line from Waterford to Dungarvan now accommodates walkers & cyclists along the river, coastline & magnificent countryside.

Buzzy restaurants
Many eating places to eat in area. The internationally renowned Tannery restaurant & catering school is 30 minutes drive away in Dungarvan.
Cool bars
Many, many great traditional pubs in the area including a thatched one 5 minutes walk from the door.
Cozy cafés
There's a wealth of them in the region catering for locals & tourists alike. My favourite is the Coachouse in Kilmacthomas.
Retail therapy
Opportunities available in nearby city of Waterford, Dungarvan and an outlet centre nearby.
Bit of culture
Irish pub hospitality, traditional music & singing are legendary and plentiful in this area.
Walks in the park
Along beaches, cliffs, through forests or mountains all nearby so take your pick :-)
Spot of exercise
Exercise outdoors is popular and as well as the walking & hiking above there are opportunities for many exciting watersports in the sea & local river. Fishing is poupular too.
Day tripping
Many available to nearby towns, city & multiple attractions throughout the county.
