Our newly built home is a bright, modern and spacious house.( 3000sq ft) on a panoramic 1 acre site. Our ground floor has a kitchen, utility room, living room, sitting room, bathroom and a large playroom for kids. The kitchen has large glass doors that lead onto the patio which is surrounded by a landscaped garden to front,side and rear and hosts a stunning view of Ireland's most famous mountain, Croagh Patrick. The first floor has 2 bedrooms with king size beds and 2 en-suites, a double bedroom plus cot bed, the kids bedroom with 2 single beds and the main bathroom. Our home has been tastefully decorated throughout and is ideal for a peaceful or adventure getaway.
The garden is fully landscaped with patio furniture. There is a large play area which is secure and safe for children. The garage holds all the outdoor toys and bikes (2 Adults and 2 children). There are also golf clubs for use. There are swings, a slide, a trampoline and goal posts in the back garden. Feel free to take advantage of our vegetable garden.
We will also consider exchanging cars. We have a Ford S-Max (7 Seater) or a Ford Mondeo (5 Seater) which can be part of the exchange.
Our house is 1.5 Km from Castlebar which is County Mayo's principle town. Castlebar has numerous attractions for visitors. It has received international recognition for both walking and angling (The River Moy and its many lakes are world famous for salmon fishing). It is also centrally located for touring Mayo including Ashford Castle (voted worlds No.1 hotel in 2015), Ballintuber Abbey, The Ceide Fields, Croagh Patrick, Foxford Woollen Mills, Moore Hall, Pontoon and the Turlough Round Tower. Annual festivals include the International Four Days Walks, The Blues Festival and The Heritage Day. The range of facilities in Castlebar include, swimming, bowling, 18 hole golf course, pubs, cafes, horse riding tennis and many many more.You can take a stroll round Lough Lannagh which is a smooth walking trail with 2 playgrounds. A must visit is the National Museum of Country Life in Turlough.
Westport town is 10 minutes drive and was awarded the title of "Irelands best place to live" in 2014 and has won the title of tidiest town in Ireland & the winner of European Smart Travel. There is much to see and do in and around Westport, from the culture of Westport House & Clew Bay Heritage Centre to cliff jumping into the wild Atlantic and all things in between, such as, soaking in the atmosphere of the bars & restaurants, cycling the Great Western Greenway or tracing the footsteps of our Patron Saint to the top of the Holy Mountain, Croagh Patrick.

Achill Island is famous for its Atlantic Drive while Keem Beach, Keel Beach, Dugort Beach, Golden Strand and Dooega Beach are recognised as being the most outstanding in Europe.
Mayo is known as the surf capitol of Ireland. The main locations for surfing in Mayo include Belmullet, Achill Island and the many beaches around Westport/Louisburgh area.
Mayo is surrounded by 18 hole golf courses. Carne golf course in Belmullet and just over the border in County Sligo, Enniscrone are world famous championship links golf courses. Westport and Ballinrobe are renowned for its championship 18 hole parkland golf courses.The only problem you will have, is the time to fit it all in.
