About our home

Our home has 5 double bedrooms 2 ensuites 1 main bathroom and Wc downstairs. We have a front and large back garden. The house is extremely spacious with a study complete with computer and we have Sky TV. We live about 1K from the historic, picturesque town of Celbridge which has the beautiful formerly Guinness owned Castletown House. There are a variety of shops and restaurants and pubs in the village and a train station which takes you into Dublin city centre in about 20 minutes, where you can have travel access to anywhere in Ireland. There are 2 bus companies which travel to Dublin and beyond from the village. We do however provide a 6 seater car. The river Liffey runs through the village and there are numerous walks opportunities for fishing canoeing etc. One of the nearest beaches is Malahide which is about 45 mins drive away. The famous Japanese Gardens is in Kildare about 40 mins away. There are also options to go horse racing and riding in the surrounding areas, fishing is also an option nearby the house on the river Liffey. The famous college of Maynooth is in the next village with historic buildings dating back centuries. Dublin center has many theaters and entertainment venues, an abundance of restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. It also hosts many festivals all year round, there is something for everyone.

There is great access to the rest of the country from this location. Northern Ireland is about 1hr 30mins and the cosmopolitan city of Belfast is 2hrs away, full of history and culture. The beautiful cities of Cork and Galway are about 2hrs away and Kerry is 3hrs+.

The house is close to the village and there is a real feel of country life without being cut off. The house backs out on to a field and is not overlooked form this aspect. The train station is 5 minutes drive away and you can park and ride and the village 1K, 10 mins walk. There are also buses which run regularly to Dublin from the village. A huge shopping centre is 15 mins by car and hosts a cinema and many restaurants. As the River Liffey runs through the village there are many fantastic walks by the river and The Royal canal runs adjacent creating many walks too. Donadee Forest is also nearby. . There are young children in the estate which houses 38 detached properties and there is a green 1 minute from the house for children to play sport etc.
