About our home

We would love to share our holiday home with fellow travellers. This FULLY EQUIPPED house is the essence of rural comfort, and tranquility. Boasting a large kitchen with all mod cons and an Aga range for all you foodies! The house has oil-fired central heating and the sitting room has a solid fuel stove fire with cosy, comfortable furniture to relax after a day in the fresh country air. You will also find a utility room and downstairs toilet. Upstairs there 3 bedrooms (Bedroom 1x King size bed with ensuite, with small balcony for Morning Coffee, Badroom 2 x 2 twin beds Bedroom 3 x 1 single) and a family bathroom. The garden comes equipped with a BBQ and furnished patio area for all fresco dining. The House is very well equipped for Children with all of their essential needs taken care of, with plenty of Toys Games and Books, and of course wide wide open spaces for them to safely roam and Play.

More about us

We are an active couple in our early sixties. We have 4 grown up Children and 4 Grand children. They live in Dubai, New York, Dublin and Galway.
Eamonn is a Consultant Civil Engineer and is semi retired, so we both are free to travel.
We wish to see more of the world. We like to walk and play golf and experience of the wonderful hospitality that Homexchange has to offer, and to be able to return the compliment.
We have invested time and effort in our holiday home, and would like to share it with those who appreciate clean and comfortable surrounding as much as we do.

Clifden is the ideal location to explore CONNEMARA,THE WEST of IRELAND, MAYO and GALWAY. With easy access to the Aran Islands, Connemara National Park, Inishbofin, Clare Island, Roundstone, Letterfrack National Park, Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden. Majestic Mountains and Tranquil Lakes and Beautiful Beaches. Recreation options include walking treks, fishing, deep sea angling, pony trekking on infamous Connemara ponies, Championship Links Golf course, cycling, water sports and diving(Scuba Dive West). The house is served by local grocery stores, retail outlets and restaurants, petrol station and launderette. Traditional local pubs which boast some of the best traditional Irish music and dance in the country.
