About our home

Quiet comfortable home, rural setting 15 mins drive to city centre and only 15 mins drive from Cork airport. Front and rear gardens.Space to relax, enjoy sun and play.Easy access to both city facilities/amenities as well as rural and coastal scenic routes of West Cork and Kerry. Best of both worlds. We have previously enjoyed three sucessful exchanges to San Francisco, Sweden and Austria. We look forward to further adventures and to making new acquaintances.Our children Calie and Dean would hope to exchange with children of similar age and are very happy to share their toys, games etc.

More about us

We are a family of 4. Pat(community worker) and Shirley (second level teacher). Daughter Calie (12 years) and son Dean (10 years). We have 3 much loved family cats (outdoor)who would need a small bit of minding. Equally if you have pets they will be well cared for.We enjoy spending time together,walking, swimming, playing tennis, cycling and exploring. We enjoy music and have a number of musical instruments including piano, guitars, and traditional Irish instruments, concertina, tin-whistle and bodhran. We are most attracted to the possibility of being close to the sea with options to avail of town facilities. We hope to car swop but are open to alternatives. Your home would be very well cared for during our stay.

Rural setting in peaceful neighbourhood. Short drive to main shopping centres in suburbs. 5 mins drive to main routes to West Cork and Kerry. Lots of day trip options. 30 mins drive to choice of coastal areas and beaches. Local pub 3 mins walk from house - opportunity to meet neighbours, enjoy music sessions and relax.
