About our home

Our bright and spacious country home is ideal for exploring West Cork and Kerry. Situated 1.5km outside Bandon town and just 30 minutes from Cork airport and the city and yet it's only 15 minutes drive from the nearest beaches. It lies central between the historical harbour town of Kinsale and the vibrant coastal town of Clonakily both about 20 minutes drive.
The house was completely renovated in 2010 and the open plan layout of the family/kitchen/dining room, with its complete wall of glazing onto a secluded patio, is perfect place to relax in the long summer evenings. It's set in a large garden with lots of privacy in a very friendly neighbourhood amid beautiful country walks.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Chapel steps or Poacher's Inn Bandon town
Cool bars
Poacher's Inn for great pub atmosphere and superb food.
Cozy cafés
Warren Allen Collections and cafe for coffee, brunch or lunch which has a quirky little gift shop attached. Urru for artisan food and lunch or snacks all day. Great little shop
Retail therapy
Bandon has some lovely little boutique clothes shops but I definitely recommend a trip to Cork city for retail therapy. It's a compact city but has everything!
Bit of culture
A trip to Kinsale a historical harbour town about 20 drive away. Lots of good restaurants and great music pubs in a very picturesque town.
Spot of exercise
The newly opened Graham Norton walk in Bandon is short but has a few outdoor exercise machines and a skate board park.
Day tripping
The beaches in West Cork are beautiful. For a full day out I'd recommend going to the Mizen head. Stopping off in Ballydehob or Skull for coffee and going on to the little village of Goleen, the beach in Barley cove and a pint and a sandwich in Crookhaven.
