About our home

Our self built low energy home is open plan with lots of natural light and interesting features. Our house requires no central heating with just a Woodburning stove in the main living room. Hot tubs, a river for swimming and kayaking. 1 large bedroom with a double bed and two children's bedrooms with single beds that can be turned into doubles. We have 3 cats who are very friendly. Our 5 chickens lay fresh eggs every day. Our house is on a quiet road and sits on 1 acre of land with a river that you can swim in. Half of the garden is landscaped with lots of trees, there are swings and a trampoline for the kids. We have 2 hot tubs made from Irish whiskey barrels that are heated with a Woodburning stove, these are very easy and quick to heat and are wonderful for bathing and looking at the stars! The rest of the garden has an orchard, a polly tunnel and veg patch (all very overgrown).
There are lots of beaches locally all about 15mins drive away and the local village is 5 mins away and has shops and pubs. We have 2 adult and 2 children's bikes which can be borrowed.
