About our home

Our vacation home is situated in idyllic Inverin, Connemara, overlooking Galway Bay and just a 3 minute walk to a secluded beach. It is a short drive (30 mins) from Galway city.

Inverin is a native Irish speaking region (but English is widely spoken). It is a great walking, cycling and hiking area. Our house has spectacular views over Galway Bay, the Burren landscape, the cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands,

The landscape of Connemara is ever changing. It has spectacular mountains, lakes, valleys and beaches along the coastline. There are many small lively villages, including Spiddal, a 5 minute drive from the house.

Galway, is renowned for its artistic atmosphere with back to back festivals from May to September. It has many great restaurants, bars, music venues and theatres

Our house is our vacation home. It was built in 2004 and has a fully equipped kitchen cum dining room and utility room, a living room, 3 bedrooms ( one en suite), and a bathroom with bath and shower. The master bedroom has a double bed and the bedrooms have 2 single beds in each. The sofa in the living room can pull out into another double bed, if required. We have open fireplaces in the kitchen and living room. The house has a large patio area for entertaining. It is situate on a large site.

We use our vacation home every summer, when the weather is nice but are making it available during 2015 as we are planning to travel. Step back to a more relaxed and friendly era and watch the sun go down on Galway Bay.
