About our home

This is our second home (our main home is in Dublin), while simply furnished is situated in the Burren Region of north County Clare a region of great beauty and tranquility. The house has 3 bedrooms, one of them en suite (sleeps 6) but also has a couch bed. Kitchen has modern conveniences but no dishwasher. Beautiful views from the house and a perfect base for those that love walking and enjoying nature. Please note: not in a position to exchange cars.

More about us

  1. Married for nearly 30 years, Noel is a Social Care Worker and Kathleen is a Civil Servant. We love travel, especially seeing interesting cities but are open to all options. A car is necessary in the area but as this is our second home we would not be in a position to exchange cars. We are fairly flexible with dates and sometimes might have family/friends travelling with us. We are experienced home exchangers having had about 17 successful exchanges to date.

Within 40 minutes drive of Galway city, 1 hr drive from Limerick City and 50 minutes drive from Shannon airport. Horseriding, sandy beaches, surf schools within 30 minutes drive. This area is a haven for art lovers - many artists reside and work in the area and there are numerous exhibitions that take place from time to time.
