About our home

Our three bed home is in a friendly seaside village on the South West coast of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way route. The house is tastefully decorated with white painted floorboards, natural stone and calm colours. We love cooking and have a beautiful new kitchen with everything you need.. You may also relax in the pretty and mature garden at the rear of the house, which because of its sheltered location successfully grows figs and even kiwis! There are also apples, strawberries, blueberries and lots of herbs and veg. It's the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning while enjoying the scents of the garden and sound of the birds.

A children's playground, beach, woods, watersports etc are all within walking distance. The village also has a hotel, restaurant, three pubs, a shop and a delightful craft shop and cafe and woodland gardens with an owl and pheasants. There are two award-winning restaurants less than 5 minutes drive away in the next village. West Cork has two Michelin Star restaurants and is renowned for its food. Cork City and the pretty tourist towns of Kinsale and Clonakilty are only a short drive away with lots of shops, galleries, cinemas, restaurants etc.

West Cork's combination of people and scenery, music and food, nature and history has a way of casting a spell on anyone who visits. Look off the beaten track and you will find rich archaeological heritage: ruined castles, ring forts and standing stones. You'll find the easy-going character of the locals invites you to relax and enjoy life at a more gentle pace. As they say, there is time for everything in West Cork!

Open to swaps anywhere in Europe. Also looking for New York at any time of year.
