About our home

Our 3-storey family home is a contemporary, bright home with a spacious kitchen-diner, overlooking our 70ft garden. It is situated on the borders of Killiney/Dalkey, in a leafy suburb of South County Dublin only 2km from the sea,a 15 minute walk into Dalkey and 25 minutes (12km) on the train to Dublin city centre.

With 2 teenage kids ourselves, our home is set up for family living with a garden log house hang out, complete with xbox and projector screen. We have 3 double bedrooms, one single, 2 bathrooms & a hall toilet. We are ideally situated close to pretty Dalkey, Glasthule and Sandycove villages with their pubs, restaurants and boutiques and for exploring the Dublin mountains, Wicklow and Dublin city centre by car or train. Nothing is more than 20-30 minutes drive away (depending on traffic!).

Also just a few miles away is Dun Laoghaire harbour and shopping area. Complete with 3 yacht clubs and beautiful pier, it's a lovely place to walk and there's plenty going on with a cinema, newly built library and town hall.

Our house is easily reached from the airport - 40 minutes to an hour. There are car hire options at the airport or an Air Coach to Killiney Castle Hotel which is literally at the top of our road. Nothing is more than a 20 minute walk and there are sea views and mountain views no matter which way you turn. We are a 7 minute walk to the coastal electric train (the DART) which runs the length of Dublin Bay, so handy for going south for a change or to get into Dublin City centre (only 25 minutes on the train).

Ideally we would leave our family dog in the house for you to feed and walk but if you are not a dog lover, we can see about housing her elsewhere. If swapping in Ireland, we'd love to bring her with us.

We are hoping to swap in Ireland this year (2020), from 20th July onwards.
