About our home

Newly constructed in 2007, property comprises 3,500 sq.ft., including 5 double bedrooms ( all ensuite ), kitchen/dining room,3 living rooms, kids playroom, utility and large conservatory at rear of property leading onto expansive, professionally landscaped garden.
We are located 4 miles from the M6 motorway which links Galway city to Dublin City & Airport ( circa 1 hr 40 mins drive), and we are just 1 hours drive from Shannon airport and also from Knock airport.
Galway is a beautiful city and county. We have some wonderful beaches.Galway and nearby Clare holds some of the best surfing locations in Ireland due to the strong Atlantic waves.
Galway has 2 large Universities with circa 18,000 full-time students for 8 months of the year;
It attracts large numbers of tourists throughout the year.
There are some excellent Golf courses in close proximity, with salmon fishing in the River Corrib also very popular.
Galway is a lively, cultural, medieval city offering visitors great options throughout the year. The Galway Arts Festival runs throughout the month of July, with the world renowned Galway Horse Racing Summer Festival running for 7 days at the end of July. There are 2 Oyster Festivals in the City in September which are also very popular tourist attractions.
Galway has also been selected as the final destination in the penultimate leg of the Volvo Ocean Race 2012 at the start of July, some of the highlights of which will be a 10 day festival and closing ceremony.
There are numerous places to visit within approx one hours drive, including the charming heritage town of Westport which overlooks Clew Bay, and the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher and The Burren in the bordering Counties of Mayo & Clare.
