About our home
Our house was rebuilt 4 years ago, is modern and well equipped. On the ground floor there is a spacious open plan living/kitchen area which opens onto a large deck and garden. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 single), 3 bathrooms, a utility room, a study and a small sitting room. Upstairs there is a mezzanine living room/den and also another double bedroom and bathroom.
Although close to the city centre the neighbourhood is quiet. We are close to Dundrum Shopping centre (the largest in Ireland). Public transport if easily accessible - bus stop really close to the house and LUAS is a 10 min. walk. The mountains and the sea are a short drive away - day trips to Glendalough, Newgrange and Brittas Bay are recommended. We are also willing to swop our car.
“We spent two weeks at Joyce's home, and were delighted with her house; lovely and contemporary, light and airy but with a very private garden. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood with very easy access to the centre of Dublin, as well as Ireland's largest shopping mall and getting out into the countryside. Various types of public transport make life very easy and don't miss out having lunch at Crabby Jo's in Howth, a lovely fishing village. We also swapped cars which went very well. Joyce and family were at pains to make our stay successful, which it was and we wholeheartedly recommend their home. ”
Stayed August 2014
“Beautiful home. Great location with easy train access to Dublin. Very friendly pubs and restaurants. Totally recommend for a swap.”
