About our home
Our beautiful architecturally designed 3 storey home is located in one of Ireland’s most exquisite areas. It is a unique, warm and comfortable home situated on a hill overlooking the harbour of Dingle Bay. It is totally private with large garden and water and mountain views from every room in the house, all accessed by French doors to lower and upper balconies.
The large, modern kitchen has seating for eight with every amenity one could possibly need. A large balcony wraps around this level of the house, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful views.
There is also a large cosy sitting room with solid fuel stove, half bath and children's play room on this level. Upstairs has three bedrooms (king size en suite, double plus a cot bed, bunk beds and single) and one other bathroom. The fourth bedroom (king bed, en suite) is located on the lower level, which also has a utility room and second living room, with sliding doors opening to the outside.
Dingle is one of Ireland's most popular tourist destinations. There is such a variety of amazing restaurants (it has been named as one of Ireland's "best Foodie towns"), unique pubs (Dick Macks regularly makes it into the top ten list of Irish pubs) and coffee shops, all within a short stroll of the house. Walk into town of an evening and amble home fed and watered admiring the stars...it is a location difficult to surpass.
You are on the doorstop of the wild and beautiful Slea Head Drive which has some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Europe. Be it dining, walking, horse trekking, hidden beaches and inlets or boating you are looking for, we have them all.
It is only an hour away from Killarney, or the Ring of Kerry.
There is a small airport in Farranfore, a 50 minute drive from the house.

Dearbhla's reviews
As a host (7)“We have an absolutely wonderful stay in Dearbhla's beautiful home. The house is spacious, comfortable, exceptionally clean and has every amenity that you could need for a lovely holiday. The views are simply stunning and a house of this quality is a rare find in Ireland. Dingle is delightful, even in the rain, and the surrounding areas offer yet more beautiful landscape and a great array of family activities. Dearbhla and her family treated our home with exceptional care and we would be delighted to host them again.”
“This was our first Home Swap experience, so we were adeptly coached through the process by the wonderful Dearbhla. We spent a fantastic few days in Dingle. The house was immaculate and our hosts were so kind to leave ideas on how best to maximise our visit at various local attractions and beaches. In short, an unforgettable time. The house is full of great amenities and in a wonderful location with truly amazing views. In short, a holiday we will never forget! ”
“This was our first swap and wow did we pick the right one! Dearhbla's home is just gorgeous and organized to a T. Beautiful kitchen and deck with breathtaking views, a spacious and comfortable living room with fireplace and TV, and an amazing playroom for children. We did not even use the 2nd living area on the lower level but it was lovely. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. She provided absolutely everything we needed in terms of information about the house and the area, and we had the most enjoyable time. We walked down the hill into town every day where we were in the center of it all. The children loved the playset and trampoline in the backyard and we were all so sad to leave. Just a perfect spot!”
“Dearbhla and Donald's home is ideally situated for view and access to Dingle Town. It's luxurious and comfortable. The welcome we received made our adventure all the more fun and memorable.”
“In a word...MAGNIFICENT. There are a few places…very few…where travel to any of the point of the compass would be a step down. Dearbhla’s home in Dingle is such a place. It is a meticulously maintained structure of stone and wood with views that can be more fairly described as vistas. Every room is thoughtfully planned with comfort, functionality, and aesthetic considerations equally served. The fittings and finishes are flawless; the furniture, furnishings, appliances, and household equipment are impeccable. The setting is utterly peaceful; the visitor is carried away by the intense beauty of the surroundings. I’ve heard Dingle described as “the new Galway”: essential stops on the Wild Atlantic Way On first view, it seemed more like CGI from a fantasy movie than a real place. There is already a significant touristic presence during the Irish bank holiday week (August 5 – 12); come and experience it before everyone else gets the word. The Conor Pass and the Slea Drive are a bit challenging, with some single-lane stretches adding to the excitement. Take your time…but don’t even think of passing them up. There are two en suite masters: a big hit with our teen daughter. The kitchen and nook are among the best laid out and equipped I’ve experienced. Dingle, it turns out, is foodie HQ in Ireland; the best of the restaurants there are extraordinary. If you are fortunate enough to book a stay with Dearbhla, it is an experience you will never forget.”
“Dearbhla’s house is set in a peaceful environment, very close to Dingle though (15 mn walk). It’s incredibly comfortable, which helped us coping with bad weather on the two first days. We especially liked the kitchen/dining area that is full of light and has a great view over Dingle bay. The beds are excellent as well. The area is absolutely fantastic with a great variety of landscapes, all stunning and all of them within 20-25 maximum. So much to see without too much driving. From there you can also visit a part of the ring of Kerry and can see it all if you book a night somewhere on your way. We got lucky with the weather, sunny most of the time, even if windy and chilly. Dearbhla is a great communicator and has been very helpful. We haven’t met her but she sounds very friendly. Thanks!”

Neighbourhood
The charming town of Dingle is a 10 minute walk or two minute drive away where there are some of the best restaurants in all of Ireland. The Dingle pubs are also great for good food, as well as good Irish music and there is no lack of them in the town. There is a lovely pier walk which is breathtaking, one of many walks in the area within minutes of the home. The crisp, pure air and Atlantic breezes make it one of the cleanest and healthy places on the planet to live, or visit.
