About our home

Our home is situated in a very popular area of Cork City, adjacent to a golf club with lovely green and leafy surroundings. Cork City is a small, intimate yet lively city offering a wide range of activities and entertainment and was the European City of Culture in 2005.
Our house is 10 minutes from the Airport and 15 minutes from the Cork Ferry port. The city centre is less than a 10 minute drive away and there is also an excellent bus service which runs every 15 minutes. Our local village which is 1. 5 miles away has all amenities, 2 shopping centres, restaurants, bars, cinema, swimming pool.

Our house has 4 double bedrooms, 2. 5 bathrooms, kitchen/utility and 2 reception rooms. It is very comfortable and has all the usual modern conveniences. We have digital TV with movies, sports and all kids channels. VCR, Playstation and hi speed internet are also available.

Where is it?

It is a very quiet/safe neighborhood with children of all age groups. There are very large green spaces where children play.

Cork City and county has many attractions both for adults and children. Galleries, theatres, museums, Fota Wildlife Park, Fota Island Golf Resort (hosted the Irish Golf Open in 2001- 2002), Trabolgan Adventure Park, Leisureplex for bowling, snooker and kiddies play areas (indoor) and much more.
Cork is a gateway for touring the South-West region of Ireland which is by general agreement the most beautiful region in Ireland. We are just one hour drive from Killarney with its beautiful lakes and mountains. This is a visitors paradise.

The capital city Dublin (even though we regard our city as the real capital) is only 2. 5 hours by train and is therefore easily accessible for a day trip.
