About our home

Hi and welcome to our home. Niamh is a second level teacher and Nat is a mechanical engineer with the Fire Service. Cillian, our little boy is 2 since last October. Our home was originally built in the 1930's and was home to Nat's parents and father's family. We renovated it extensively in 2005 and now have a bright, clean, well equipped home. Our home is suitable for up to 6 people, there are three bedrooms with two doubles and a twin. The sitting room is bright and cosy with and open fire, satellite TV and stereo system. The kitchen/dining has a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, a feature woodburning stove and all the usual equipment. In the utility there is a washing machine, a dryer, a freezer and a sink. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and a shower that is both electric and main water operated. The is an ensuite off our bedroom also. We have four adult bikes (two mountain and two road, and a piano, violin and guitar, and internet broadband. Outside the garden is almost half an acre with lovely country views and toddler play equipment There is a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ. Our dog is now living on the family farm 10kms away but there is a local cat who may appear from time to time to say hello!

More about us

  1. We are Niamh and Nat and Cillian. Niamh is a second level teacher and Nat is a mechanic with the Fire Service. Cillian is our 2 year old son. We both like the simple things in life, outdoor life, walking, cycling, swimming and visiting new places. We are in love with the beautiful countryside regions in Austria and Germany that we have visited in the past. We have done two previous house exchanges in Germany and the Netherlands which were wonderful experiences. We will swop the use of our car for the use of yours.
