Superbly located, large, new, four bedroom home in lush green countryside. Just outside the charming village of Dunleer. Yet only 35 min to vibrant Dublin city. Exceptional views from Balconies off the two main bedrooms, all bedrooms ensuite. Handpainted cream kitchen with mourne granite worktops and all mod cons. Jacuzzi bath in Main Bathroom. Two large living rooms, both with fireplaces and 42inch plasma tv's. Spacious kitchen and dining room. Huge garden. Use of a mercedes car, jeep also available if needed.
We are a young(ish) married couple, Michael and Julie-Anne, with no children of our own yet. Both non-smokers. Julie-Anne is a primary school teacher and Michael is a businessman. We have a golden Retriever puppy called Ruby, but she will be taken care of by relatives during an exchange. We love to entertain and we take pride in our home, we would treat other peoples house's with the same care and respect.
Our house is about 1 mile outside the village of Dunleer. It is a small village with a thriving traditional Irish pub scene, there are also a number of fine restaurants and cafes. Also only 5 miles from the port coast with it's beautiful sandy beaches and Clogherhead, a quaint fishing village with an excellent Seafood Restaurant.
Windsurfing and sailing and other watersports are available here too. (Summer camps for children run from here too.)
There are also a number of golf courses nearby. Walking, biking and hiking are very enjoyable here.
This is an area rich in archaeological and historic sites, eg Newgrange, Mellifont Abbey, Monasterboice Round Tower etc.
15 mins drive to Dundalk, the largest town in Ireland, which has cinemas, an ice rink, bowling alley, shops etc., 35 mins from Dublin Airport, 75 mins to Belfast Airport.
Only a 35 min drive on the motorway will bring you to cultural Dublin city, with its theatres, art galleries, museums and monuments. In the last number of years Dublin has become a thriving, vibrant and up-market cosmopolitan city while still retaining its old world charm.
A great all-round location.
