About our home

Our home is a cosy, bright, and comfortable town house in the residential area of Drumcondra. It has a small kitchen with a separate dining room. The living room has french doors that open onto a back garden which catches the afternoon sun. The house in a small cul de sac, and although we are in the heart of the city (only 20 minutes walk to the city centre)it is very quiet and friendly.

More about us

  1. This will be our first home exchange and we are really looking forward to it.I am a lecturer and my partner a physiotherapist. We like to travel, explore new places and get some sunshine. This year we would like to go to Italy and as well as enjoying the sights, if possible include a short language course. However we are open to any sunny location.

Where is it?

Situated just 20 minutes walk to O'Connell street (with a bus stop only 5 minutes walk away, with buses every few minutes into the city centre), where you can sample all the shopping, restaurants, galleries and museums that Dublin has to offer. We are next door to Croke Park Stadium, the national stadium of Gaelic sports. Also nearby are the beautiful Botanic Gardens with their famous glasshouses, Fairview and Drumcondra Parks and the lovely seafront promenade of Clontarf and Bull Island.
Drumcondra is near the airport (15 minutes by taxi or on direct bus route from airport to city centre). It is also near the main motorways, allowing easy access to the rest of Ireland.
