A comfortable, modern home (built in 2000), semi - detached with 4 bedrooms, main bedroom with ensuite with shower, large converted attic which sleeps 2 adults (i.e. acts as a fifth bedroom) and has ensuite with shower, separate family bathroom with bath and shower, small terrace and garden to the rear where we dine in the summer: high speed wifi (120MB); monitored alarm; parking for 2 cars to the front. Separate large kitchen, dining room and sitting room as well as downstairs WC and utility room on the ground floor. Suitable for families with young/teenage children.
We are Diarmuid and Orla, both in our forties with 3 children aged 18, 12 and 9. We have always enjoyed travelling with our children. Our eldest wishes to pursue language and translation studies in university.
I am a partner in an accountancy practice.
My wife is a librarian taking a career break.
We are approximately 15 kms/30 minutes from Dublin City Centre.
Local amenities include Blanchardstown Shopping Centre- 5 minutes drive away-(a large shopping Mall with large cinema, local theatre), Phoenix Park which is a very large urban park (largest in Europe I understand) 15 minutes drive away; National Aquatic Centre is about 10 minutes drive away- includes 50m pool and family pools, slides etc.
we are in the western suburb so you can quickly access more rural farmland areas in Co. Meath, Kildare, Cavan etc.
Beaches are about minimum 30 minutes away e.g. Rush, Portmarnock.
Our house is part of a quiet suburban estate of approximately 70 houses, with our house located in a quiet cul-de-sac location so it is safe for young children to play. There is also a green area to the front of the estate where the older children play football etc. Train station is a 10 minute walk from our front door. There is a small park and playground- Beechpark, about 7 minute drive.
