About our home

Our ivy covered home is a lovely comfortable, clean, and spacious, and has a lovely mix of old and new. It has an award winning large modern kitchen with adjoining living room and sitting room. We have 4 bedrooms including a converted attic bedroom, with ensuite bathroom. A large glass sliding door opens out onto our patio and garden for outdoor dining. The garden is private, and sunny, with a large trampoline, and outdoor table tennis table. Our children also play everyday in the Georgian park across the road.

More about us

  1. We are Anne & Declan, and we have 3 children, Sam (9) Louie (12) and Ellen (16). We run a Sports Distribution business, and enjoy and active lifestyle. We have had one exchange, and we would like to try it again. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance, and to get to know the people we exchange with, via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in your home. We have a cat named Millie who is independent, she needs to be fed and will spend most of her time outside.

Where is it?

We live on the west corner of a Georgian Square. Our home is in the coastal town of Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leery) which is set between the mountains and the sea. Within a few minutes of our house there great places to explore. Dun Laoghaire town, and the villages of Glasthule, Sandycove, Dalkey, & Killiney, are dotted along the coastline, or situated in the overlooking hills. 20 minutes up the coast is the buzz of Dublin city, and 20 minutes in the other direction and you can find yourself in the beautiful Wicklow mountains, known as 'The Garden of Ireland'
