Dublin city; Hoping for Portugal July 2022!

“Nous avons passé deux semaines en août 2016 dans la jolie maison d\'Anna, de Seamus et de leurs enfants. Elle est grande, très agréable: la cuisine offre un grand espace de vie pour la famille nombreuse que nous sommes (7) et chacun a pu trouver dans la maison une chambre et un lit confortable. Le jardin est également très agréable pour profiter du soleil (hé oui, il fait beau et même chaud en Irlande en août!) La maison est très bien située, l\'arrêt de bus est à moins d\'une minute de marche et l\'on accède directement au centre ville ( c\'est possible à pied aussi mais il faut avoir des enfants qui aiment marcher...) Nous avons visité cette belle ville qu\'est Dublin ainsi que les alentours: la presqu\'île d\'Howth, les montagnes de Glendalough... ce sont des paysages magnifiques! La magie a continué avec la découverte du merveilleux Connemara où nous avons passé 3 jours formidables. Nous recommandons fortement la maison d\'Anna et Seamus qui nous a permis de découvrir ce très beau pays. Cet échange a été pour nous un moment de dépaysement total. A notre retour, notre maison était impeccable et nos chats en grande forme!”

“In August this year (2012) we exchanged houses with Anna and her lovely family in Dublin. The house is perfectly situated far enough from the city center to be in a quiet district and not far from it either as you are in the center in a 15 minute bus ride. It is also easy to drive and park into the city. Their house is quite close to the entrance of the largest Dublin park where you can take strolls, rent a bike or visit the zoo. We very much enjoyed the large and bright kitchen opening on the yard. As soon as the sun sun showed up we were outside for our meals and we could even enjoy dinner in special patio cleverly set up in the sunny corner in the evening. Kids loved jumping on the trampoline as much as playing basket or playing the piano. They loved discovering all new toys and books. There were also a lot of books for adults. The house was well organized and cosy, it was easy to feel at home there. The car was just fine for us as well. we could all fit in and fit our luggage as well when we decided to take a trip to the west. Dublin is a perfect capital to spend a vacation: you can alternate culture with museums, castles and mansions with taking a hike in Howth or spending the day at the beach...We also really appreciated all the tips Anna and her family gave us concerning what to do and see in Dublin as well as outside of Dublin. Our main frustration was probably that we could not meet in our so well organized exchange. Still we loved it and we are very thankful to Anna and her family for this great vacation Sylvie, Jean-salvy and family.”
