About our home

OUR HOUSE: is a light-filled 2 bedroomed house, Not large, but cosy and cheerful and ideal for 4-6 guests. The house comprises a kitchen/dining area, a sitting room area and a bathroom. We also have a fully insulated wooden chalet in our back garden with sleeping accommodation (sofa bed) and a bathroom/shower (ideal for teenage children who want a little independence). We also have cots and high chairs available and our house has wifi.

OUR LOCATION: We are situated in Killester, 3 miles north of Dublin city centre. We are 15 minutes by taxi/car from Dublin airport and a similar distance from Dublin Port. Dublin's national train station (Heuston) is also 15 minutes away. From this station, many other Irish cities and towns are accessible. These include Kilkenny (1.5 hrs), Galway (2.5 hrs), Cork (3 hrs) and Kerry (4 hours). Our house has very good transport links, with the DART (rail system) a 3 minute walk from our house. A wide range of buses to Dublin City are also closeby.

DUBLIN: The city of Céad Míle Fáilte – a hundred thousand welcomes – is one steeped in history and alive with energy. Home of the world famous Book of Kells, not to mention the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin's Medieval, Georgian and modern architecture provide a backdrop to a friendly bustling port city. In 2012 Trip Advisor voted Dublin one of the Top 25 Destinations in the world. Dublin is the largest and most populated Irish city. It’s located on the east coast of Ireland, overlooking Dublin Bay, and is surrounded by the greater Dublin area or Dublin County where there’s an abundance of picturesque seaside villages, rolling mountains and rural hinterland, all within half an hour of the city centre.

MORE ABOUT OUR LOCATION: our house is close to the coast (ten minute walk), and also to the second largest park in Dublin (St Anne's Park). There are a good selection of shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs and other services all within a short walk.
