Our home is in a mature suburb of Dublin very close to the city centre. It was built in the 1930s and completely renovated and luxuriously finished in 2002. The house is a two storey semi-detached end house, but the attic has also now been converted into a beautiful study. The total size is 2, 200 square feet.
Downstairs, there are two reception rooms with double sliding doors which can be used as one large room, a kitchen, dining room, utility room and bathroom.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (master bedroom is ensuite) and two single rooms. A family bathroom (bath and shower) completes the rooms. On the upper level the attic has been converted to a handsome study which is also used as Isabel's private office.
The house has all the appliances/technology you would expect including TV, VCR, DVD, high speed broadband connection and a stereo linked to speakers throughout downstairs.
There is gas central heating throughout the house. In addition, there is a fireplace in the main sitting room which you might light for effect â usually you would not need it for heat in the summer. There is a sunny backgarden complete with gravelled sitting area, patio, lawn and bar-b-q.
Basically, this is a very warm and comfortable fully modernized home which has everything you would need for a very enjoyable stay.

We live in Rathmines which is a very desirable neighbourhood in South Dublin. An adjoining area is Ranelagh and together Rathmines and Ranelagh boast 30 restaurants from fast food, bistro to haute cuisine, within a 15 minute walk from the house. There are also a number of fine food shops some of which are known city-wide.
Although within 30 minutes walk of St. Stephens Green in Dublinâs fashionable city centre our street is quiet. Our neighbours are very friendly and always willing to help while not being intrusive.
The area would be described as a leafy suburb and is great for just walking around. Our neighbourhood park is 5 minutes walk away as well as tennis clubs, gym, indoor pool, and farmers market (15 min walk) .
Dublin city centre can be reached within 15 minutes by taking a 5-10 minute tram ride which stops 5 minutes walk from our house. Dublin is an interesting and vibrant capital city with plenty to do for all ages. Theatre, sports, live music, street theatre, comedy festivals, international film festival etc. You can find out more by looking up www.visitdublin.com
If you intend using Dublin as a base for exploring other parts of Ireland, you can reach any of the main roads to the countryside within 15 minutes (depending on traffic) .
