Our family home is close to Dublin city centre.
This a typical inner Dublin mid-20th century property that has been totally modernised and extended.
Downstairs there is a large kitchen/dining room, a large living room, toilet and utility room.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms. The first has a double bed. The second has a children's bed and baby cot. We have a sofa-bed(double bed) available if you'd prefer this in the second bedroom. The bathroom is also located upstairs.
We also have a mature southwest facing garden with a large deck (20 sq m), barbecue and a sandpit for kids.
Since this is our home you'll have all the kitchen utensils that you'll need as well as TV and Internet. There's plenty of kids toys and books. There are two adult bikes, a child seat, a child's bike and a child's scooter if you want to borrow them.
The house is on a small friendly cul de sac, where the children all play outside.
We are a family of four with two boys, aged 5 years and 2 years.
We live an active life. We like going for walks and cycling trips.
Most of all, we love to travel and have adventures!
Our house is 5km north of Dublin city centre. There are superb local public transport connections: Killester train station is less than 10min walk away. The train takes about 10 min to the city centre (just 2 stops!). There are also buses every few minutes from Malahide Road at Donnycarney Church, again just a few minutes walk away.
There is a local playground 5 min walk away. St. Annes park, one of the largest parks in Dublin with nice walks, playground, coffee shop and a market at the weekend is about 15 min walk.
Clontarf promenade is also within walking distance and the beach at Dollymount Strand just beyond. You'll find some nice restaurants in Clontarf.
Malahide and Howth are popular coastal villages for walks, restaurants and pubs. They're both about 20min away by train.
We are located conveniently for Dublin Airport, some 8 km away; about 15 minutes by taxi outside rush hour.
Also, there is a supermarket, pharmacy, pub and other shops within a few minutes walk.
I won't mention all that is available in Dublin city center, but you'll have no problem finding restaurants, bars, museums or other tourist attractions.
