Our house is a double fronted family home built in the 1840s and recently renovated. It has a modern kitchen with open plan dinning room. The kitchen includes an aga as well as a modern oven and gas hob. The kitchen looks out on a west facing garden. The garden includes children's swings, climbing frame, house and slide. Downstairs there is also a large sitting room, playroom, utility room and toilet. Upstairs we have three double rooms, a twin room, a single room and a box room.
The house is very well located. It is just off the town's high street on a mature attractive road. It is a five minute walk from the train station with regular trains into Dublin and going south up the coastline. We are also just a few minutes walk from Dun Laoghaire's attractive pier and promenade.
We are a professional couple, a barrister and a lecturer, with three girls and a baby. We are an active family who likes to get out and about and who likes discovering new places. We would be delighted to do a home exchange and would look forward to recommending activities to do in and around Dublin. We really like Dun Laoghaire where we live as it is beside the sea, near the city and near some beautiful hills and coast line.
Dun laoghaire is an attractive Victorian town. It has many good cafés and restaurants as well as a cinema, theatre, large new library and two parks. There are many shops and some good hotels with luxurious spas.
Dun laoghaire over looks the sea and is built around an attractive harbour. To the south of Dun laoghaire is a lovely coastline. It is under twenty minutes into Dublin City centre.
