About our home

We have converted 3 coastguard cottages into a bright and sunny home. There is a little beach on our doorstep where we kayak, canoe, dinghy sail or when the tide is out go birdwatching! The island consists of two golf courses a bird sanctuary and a long sandy beach which is world renowned for its fantastic kitesurfing and windsurfing. There is a wonderful walk through the sand dunes to the far end of the island where you will come across a colony of seals. At the end of your outdoors day you can either stroll across the bridge to the best Eastern restaurant in Dublin or our local bistro, or wander a little further along the promenade to Clontarf village where you will find a selection of restaurants, pubs and small shops. If you want to go further afield , 15 minutes to the left will take you in to the heart of Dublin, the cultural capital of Ireland and 15 minutes to the right will take you to the famous fishing village of Howth. Known for its restaurants and stunning cliff walks.
