About our home

Hello, we are Donal and Una, both professional people and this apartment is our city home. The apartment is approximately 30 minutes from Dublin Airport (approximate taxi charge ¤25.00)
The 2 double bedroomed apartment is large and comfortable, sleeps 5 (excluding 2 good couches and a large Budda Bag) and also boasts a large roof garden with great views of Dublin landmarks (photos awaited).
The apartment is built on the fourth floor on top of a large underground car park which can be availed of for overnight use for approximately ¤5.00 per night once you inform the car park personnel that you are staying overnight. It is better not to use a car around the city and most Dublin sites are within walking or cycling distances. High speed broadband, Sky TV and movies are also available.

Where is it?

The apartment is located behind the Maldron Hotel in Smithfield in the thriving city centre of Dublin.(
Next door to that hotel there is a supermarket known as Fresh which is open between 8 AM and 10 PM where you can get more or less anything that you might need. It also has an ATM and an Off Licence etc.
The apartment is about 40 yards from Smithfield Square where there are 2 Dublin Bikes stations, one at each end of the square ( This is a convenient and inexpensive way of seeing the city and every trip of under half an hour duration is free (Fully refundable credit card deposit required). There is also a LUAS (light rail) stop at the end of the square, providing value for money access to the train stations of Heuston Station and Connolly Station as well as to shopping centres suc as The Jervis Centre, 2 stops, and Abbey and O' Connell Streets, 3 stops. The national museum at Collins barracks is only one stop away. (;;
The apartment is also adjacent to Bel Cibo Italian restaurant (which boasts home made pasta), The Lighthouse Cinema and The Cobblestone pub which has traditional Irish music 7 nights a week and NO TELEVISIONS!!
Across Smithfield Square, you will see the historical chimney of the Old Jameson Distillery where the famous whiskey was distilled for hundreds of years and the museum and tasting is well worth a visit and is only 200 metres away from the apartment. (
