About our home

Our house is an Irish art deco house built in the 1950s and was extended and fully renovated last April. It has oak floors throughout and it is comfortable, bright and spacious. It has a big garden that will burst into flower in spring/summer. It has a large modern kitchen with adjoining dining room. There is a large terrace to the back of the house in full view of mature trees. I love spending time in my house and having friends over.
Holiday home in France
We also have a holiday home in France. It is a old farmhouse (build circa 1650 and fully renovated in 2004) located in a rural area in the centre of France (Limoges).

More about us

We are a French/Irish/Spanish Family with two children a boy (12) and a girl (9). We are both professionals (Finance Manager and a Company Director). We have not done a home exchange before. It seems like a great way to experience another culture.
We would expect to arrange an exchange well in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the Ireland.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is located in the Chic South Dublin suburb of Blackrock. It is a beautiful, exclusive and very safe area. The house is a 10 minute walk from the town of Blackrock and the seafront. It is within walking distance of all main public transport facilities, the Dublin city centre is 15 mins away. Dublin airport is within easy reach and there are regular low cost flights to all European destinations (London 50 minutes, Paris 1hr 30). It is also located to major motorways that lead to some magnificent Irish beauty spots such as Wicklow (30 minutes drive) Connemara (4.5 hours drive) and Kerry (5.5 hours drive).
