My home is a bright, clean and comfortable house. There is a carpeted sitting room with a fireplace. At the back there is a Kitchen/Dining room/Sun room. The sun streams through the front of the house in the mornings and the back all evening.
There is downstairs WC, security system and central heating.
Upstairs there is a large bright master bedroom (6ft. bed)with an en suite, a second bedroom, an office and a full Bathroom. On the third level, there is a another bedroom. The second and third bedrooms are double size, but each just has a single bed.
The house is full of books and has a TV with a 32inch screen in the front room and a smaller set in the Sun Room.
The front garden is pretty and the back garden (also pretty)has decking and garden furniture.
I am a retired woman, recently widowed. My husband and I did several house exchanges and all our experiences were great.
Now, I would like to try on my own, and my brother would join me.
I was a Guidance Counselor with the Government. I am interested in Art, Theatre, Reading and music - mostly classical. I walk a lot, and play some tennis, although not as much as I would like! I lived in Paris for a year when I was young!
I am very flexible about exchange dates.
Shankill is a desirable location in South County Dublin within easy reach of Art Galleries, Theatres, Restaurants and all the Cultural and Historical places for which Dublin is famous.
It is just beside the ring road which leads easily from Dublin to the rest of Ireland.
The house is five minutes from the sea, four minutes from local transport which takes you into the centre of Dublin in about half an hour. Local shops are within a five minute walk. The mountains are fifteen minutes away by car.
