We offer a comfortable centrally located family home. Recently refurbished, the house is modern and bright yet retains lovely period features such as high ceilings, shuttered windows, open fireplaces. We have four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen, dining and family room, a sitting room with large open fire. We have a nice granite walled private back garden.
We are an active sporty family. Graham works with Microsoft and has been travelling to Seattle for many years. This summer we hope to spend some time as a family in Seattle and exploring the surrounding countryside. I am a marketing consultant but am currently kept busy looking after our four children, our 15 year old daughter and our 3 sons aged 13, 11 and 8. We love playing golf, tennis, rugby, soccer, cycling, swimming and skiing when we get an opportunity. We have not done a house exchange before and are excited at the possibility of trying out the Seattle way of life! We hope you will enjoy sharing ours!
Dun Laoghaire is a lively harbour town situated only 8 miles from the centre of Dublin city with excellent public transport links. It is a major sailing destination hosting international sailing events in July and August. There are many blue flag beaches and swimming areas either walking distance or a short drive from our house. In 30 minutes you can be in the heart of Wicklow mountains enjoying the many magnificent walks along the Wicklow way. Sporting possibilities abound with many world class golf courses within easy reach. There are excellent restaurants and pubs locally and many cultural places of interest to visit. Dun Laoghaoire also hosts The World Festival of Culture every year in July. Dublin Airport can easily be reached by shuttle bus in approx 50 mins and RyanAir offers cheap flights to many destinations throughout Europe.
