“We exchanged homes with Monika, Wolfgang and their kids for a week in August. Their home is cozy and comfortable and provided a great home base from which to explore Achill Island, Mayo County, and other sites in Western Ireland. The island is owned by the sheep, who graze feely in the yard and across the hills. Achill is just as they describe, with spectacular "Wild Atlantic" scenery, friendly people, quiet villages, art studios, and pubs where you can join the locals for real Irish music. We were also able to take in many beautiful and fascinating sites of western Ireland. For those who love extreme sports, this is the place, with biking, surfing, and climbing. For us, it was a cozy home base for our explorations. Monica and Wolfgang are great hosts and we loved getting to know their family as well as exchanging homes.”
