About our home

Our house is dated 1860 and is a Georgian Villa with many historical, original features. There is a large sitting room, dining room, main bedroon and large family bathroon on the ground floor, a large kitchen, play room and fully equipped office at the rear of the house and two large, children's bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. We have a large front garden, adorned by 100 year old rose trees and space for our family car and a small back garden with decking, BBQ area and all weather trampoline. Dun Laoghiare seafront with piers and beautiful walks, boardwalks, marinas, main shopping centres and children's parks are all within a 5 minute walk. The main rail station, and dart to the centre of Dublin are 5 minutes walk away and central Dublin is 20 minutes by train or 30 minutes by car.

Dun Laoghaire is a 30 minute drive from Dublin airport and 20 minutes drive from the culturallly rich Dublin City centre! The train station for Central Dublin is 5 minutes walk from the house and takes 20 minutes to get to the centre of the City with trains every 10 - 15 minutes. Our house is 5 minutes walk from the sea, with beautiful walks along Dun Laoghaire pier, the marina and boardwalk with viewing of seals a plenty. There is a park with a playgroiund, extensive flower gardens and a Sunday market also 5 minutes walk away. We have two shopping centres, many local speciality shops, several excellent restaurants and traditional Irish pubs all within easy walking distance. For outdoor activities, Dun Laoghaire has easy access to the beautiful walks, mountains, forests and beaches of Wicklow and Wexford, all within an hour's drive. The M50, the main ring road around Dublin is 10 minutes drive from the house.

Myself, Yvonne and my husband Ger are keen travellers and our children, Saoirse 11 and Luke 7 have been to every continent bar Antartica! Ger is a lawyer and Yvonne a business consultant who tries her best to work around school holidays. Apart from travelling we love music and reading so our house is stuffed full of books and CDs for all age ranges which are free to use. We also love walking and outdoor activities so our location in DunLaoghaire with easy access to the beautiful walks, mountains and beaches of Wicklow and Wexford on our doorstep are ideal. We are a 30 minute drive from Dublin airport which we use frequently and from the culturallly rich Dublin centre! Our home is a period house, which we love and cherish for its historical nature, but also has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, fully equipped office for our peers who like us often have to keep an eye on their businesses, even when they are on vacation and a play room filled to the brim with toys for children of all ages.
