About our home

Our home lies on the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal which was named 'the coolest place on the planet' by the National Geographic Traveller and was voted the number one place to go in 2017. The house is a 5 minute walk to a beautiful blue flag beach and the vibrant village of Dunfanaghy with its many excellent bars, coffee shops, art galleries, craft shops and restaurants. Also within 5 minutes is Dunfanaghy's 18 hole links golf course, horse riding surfing and other water sports. The famous Muckish Mountain is close by with Glenveagh National Park within a 25 minute drive. Hill walking is a popular activity within the area. Close to the village lies Horn Head with its striking cliffs, beautiful scenery and abundance of wild life. On a clear night if you are lucky the Northern Lights are visible from this area.

Our home was completed in 2016. It is finished in a contemporary style with a luxury feel. It is a semi-detached house with three double bedrooms, one ensuite, bathroom with separate shower. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen /dining area leading to a separate living room with comfortable two and three seater leather sofas. There is also a downstairs utility room and an adjacent toilet. The house is very well equipped and most of the furniture and contents are new. There is also high speed Fibre Optic Broadband With Apple TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The Oil fired central heating and Immersion can be controlled remotely via a smart app. Outside there is an enclosed back garden with patio furniture and a barbecue. A thirty minute drive will take you to the large town of Letterkenny with its theatres, cinemas, bowling alley and award winning restaurants. It is also a large shopping centre with many well-known stores.
