About our home

Our home is a large comfortable wooden bungalow on 2 acres of mature gardens with loads of trees and shrubs. We have total privacy. We have ample parking in the front of the house. Our home is good for families (with kids) and big groups. It is very safe and peaceful. We have a large sitting room with an open fire and double doors leading to a formal dining room. The kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons. large dining table and family seating area with a wood burning stove and satellite tv. There are double doors out to the garden. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and an ensuite bath and shower. The second bedroom has a super king size bed and an en suite shower room. The remaining three bedrooms have a double bed and there is a family bathroom with a bath and shower. There is also a seperate wc. We also have a cot and high chair. The house is very bright. Outside on the garden side of the house we have a large deck with stairs leading down to the lawn. In the garden we have a hard tennis court. We have ample garden furniture. We also have a swing.

More about us

We are both very active and outdoorsy. We enjoy golf, walking, gardening and being with friends and family. We enjoy travelling and exploring new areas and tasting different cuisines. We are both involved in different clubs such as book clubs, film clubs as well as sports clubs (tennis and golf) although we do both enjoy putting our feet up. We are both very keen gardeners and enjoy re-decorating our home. We are very quiet and respectful of other people homes. We have done airbnb for a few years and have enjoyed both having people staying and staying in other people's homes, with positive reviews.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is 2km from Dunshaughlin. The village has a variety of pubs, supermarket, boutiques, churches and library. We are close to historic areas such as Trim, Hill of Tara, Newgrange, Phoenix park which is home to the Preseident of Ireland, and Dublin Zoo, and Dublin city. We have very good public transport that goes into Dublin city centre and the airport. Dublin is a viking city that is both modern and historic. We have lovely walks about 20 minutes drive. We have easy access to motorways that make exploring Ireland, both north and south very simple. We are very close to Fairyhouse racecourse which is the home of the Irish Grand National. We are 10 minutes from Kileen Gastle Golf course which hosted the Solheim Cup in 2011. We have a choice of very good golf courses in the area. Fising is very popular on the Boyne which is close bye. We have a couple of magnificent outdoor family adventure parks which iare open all year round. Multiplex cinema and shopping centre with restaurtants is only 15 minuites away.
